How We Work

Students

FES works with tertiary level students through campus-based fellowship groups usually known as Christian Fellowship, or CF for short. CFs that are affiliated to FES are present in most of the public tertiary institutions and some private colleges in Singapore. In each CF, students gather regularly for Bible study, prayer, teaching and leadership training programmes. As a community, the CF works out for themselves the means whereby they can creatively share the good news of Jesus Christ on their respective campuses. FES provides staff workers who visit the CFs regularly to support the ministry.

Graduates

When students graduate, we encourage them to be integrated and involved in their local churches. Through various graduate and alumni groups, we support our graduates as they make the transition to working life, and encourage them to live out their faith in the challenging work environment as well as in society at large.

FES-IFES Links

FES is affiliated to the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES) which is a a global community of indigenous student movements, called to engage the university with the good news of Jesus Christ. Through IFES, we are linked with more than 500,000 students involved in over 150 national movements worldwide. These links enable us to pray for, learn from and partner with other student movements in specific areas of need.

FES Singapore is part of the IFES East Asia region where we have closer fellowship with the student movements in this region. Every three years, the IFES East Asia region organises an East Asia Regional Conference (EARC) for students as well as an East Asia Graduate Conference (EAGC) hosted by one of the East-Asian student movements. These week-long conferences bring together students and graduates from the different IFES movements in the region for a time of Bible study, prayer and fellowship. Despite the language barriers, these conferences have always been a great blessing and encouragement to all the participants. FES Singapore has had the privilege of hosting the EARC in 1977, 1997 and 2011.
