联合理工研经营2018感想 – 《蒙福与装备》(Blessed and Equipped)
I came for the combined polytechnic Chinese CF Bible study camp, held from 9–11 Oct 2018, with no expectations or goals. However, I left the camp feeling exceptionally blessed. I felt blessed because today I have the privilege of owning a personal copy of the Bible, and that it is now even available as a phone app which makes it more convenient for us to read God’s Word.
During the camp we were introduced to the context behind each book of the epistles, canonisation of the New Testament, culture and history of the Jews, learning the Bible study structure OIA (Observation, Interpretation and Application) and applying it to study the book of James. As a person who values the Living Word of God, I am grateful for the opportunity to have a deeper understanding of the Word. I also appreciate the participation of the other students in the camp as I see that their lives are a living testimony of their love towards God. They really encouraged me in my ministry with the youths in my church. The apostle Paul urged us in Romans 12:1 to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. I feel compelled to share with the youths around me, both in my church and CF, on what true and proper worship towards God means.
As a first-year student joining the Chinese CF, I am grateful to God for the opportunities and teachings FES has presented. Though my command of Mandarin is poor, by the grace of God, I was able to understand the teachings in the camp and perform my role as a group leader to lead the group in devotions and discussions. Glory to God in the highest.
To end off, the verse from 2 Timothy 3:16, ‘All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness’, has left a deep impression in me. May we be well equipped with the Word of God, so that we may do His good works as His obedient servants.
