Pray with Us

Several CFs will be holding their camps during the following periods:
8-12 Dec: NTU CF Bible Camp: His Glory Revealed; Upside Down Kingdom
26-31 Dec: NUS VCF Annual Teach-In Conference (AnnTIC)
Pray for the planning committees to be guided by God as they work out the details of the programme, e.g. theme, workshops, speakers, publicity and other administrative details. Pray that all that is planned will bring glory to Him. and that the various committees will work together in unity as they serve Him in the respective areas.

JAMES COOK UNIVERSITY SINGAPORE (JCUS CF)

Thanksgiving

  • We give thanks to God for growth in numbers and new members who have chosen to journey together with the CF. Our CF has grown from five members six years ago to today’s 25-strong group.
  • We are grateful for the support from the school that allows us to worship freely on campus, using school facilities.
  • God’s providence as we trialled new programmes, such as Love Ran Red that focused on social justice in the red-light district in Geylang. It is an issue geographically close to our campus but seemed to be far from the minds of students. Through this programme we raised awareness of the issue and got students to think about the idea of what love truly means, while also raising funds to bless Tamar Village, a restoration centre that reaches out to individuals from the red-light district.

Pray with us for:

  • a new generation of committed leaders who have a passion to serve God and His people.
  • JCUS CF as we will be restructuring our format, especially in light of the increase in numbers, to have a different platform for more authentic and effective witness to CF members and newcomers. Pray that we will be able to maintain and strengthen the close bonds we have while making room for diversity and growth.
  • student leaders and our staff workers Jeremiah and Rebecca, as we work together in the CF. With the much-accelerated nature of JCUS, students come in fresh in their first year, and leave the next or sooner. Pray for much faithfulness and creativity in student amid these challenges.

NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE VARSITY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP
(NUS VCF)

Thanksgiving

We are thankful for:

  • faithful leaders who have caught the Lord’s heart and passion for the campus and society.
  • members who consciously set time aside for the Lord and build a community with love.
  • opportunities to build relationships and collaborate with other Christian groups and leaders on campus. (We’ve recently held a University Dedication Service with other groups like NUS Cru, UniY, University Staff Fellowship on 13 Sept 2018.)

Pray with us for:

  • VCF to learn and experience more about prayer, to have it integrated into our everyday lives.
  • our young leaders who have taken up the mantle of heading their ministries by faith (we do have freshmen becoming chairpersons). Pray that they will have courage as we continually support and journey together as fellow brothers and sisters.
  • our staff workers Isaac and Yvonne. Though there will be quite a few changes happening this year, pray that they will have time to rest, spend time with their families and most importantly find rest in the Lord.

SP ENGLISH CF (SP ECF)

Thanksgiving

  • We give thanks for the high intake of zealous freshmen from the outreach programmes, organised to reach out to the students of SP.
  • We also thank God for our alumni, staff adviser, Angie and FES staff worker Gabriel Jiang for taking great care of SP ECF.

Pray with us for:

  • that the activities that we have planned for this new semester will run smoothly and will fulfil God’s will for the CF.
  • for the sub-committee’s patience and love towards the CF members, as well as wisdom as we identify the next batch of potential leaders.
  • for the welfare of members struggling with school work.
  • for our staff worker Gabriel – for his well-being and his relationships with the CF and his lovely wife, Dawn.
